How To : Wear The Runway

1.Tutus / Pleats / Skater skirts.
You can tell from my earlier post that i'm really into A-line skirts but I do love tutus aswell. Their both so girly, flirty and suit most shapes and sizes. Their especially great for those who want to accentuate a small waist.

My Designer Picks:

Paul Costello

House of Holland

Giles

 My  Highstreet Picks :

ASOS £35.00

NewLook £3.00 [Bargain !]

River Island £34.99

2.The Trench/Military Coat .
I tend to not really go with what the shops display as the 'it' coat for eash season because then you just end up with several 'it' coats which you won't be able to wear again, so forget all the ruffles, capes and whatnots.
The secret to a long-lasting coat is a simple, slim cut, classic design which is also of a good qaulity.

My Designer Pick :

Burberry Prosum

My High Street Picks :

Both TopShop

3. The one shoulder dress/ Jumpsuit

My Designer Picks :

Amanda Wakeley
Roskanda Ilincic

Mark Fast

My High Street Picks :
BooHoo £20

Lipsy £32.50

Lipsy £80

FlashBack Moment
I've been seeing a few denim dungarees being sold in shops now and it just reminds me soo much of when I was little and my mum used to dress me and my older sister in matching colourful dungarees..I don't think I could ever where them again ! However, something I can see myself wearing from childhood are those t-bar Mary-Jane type shoes, I remember having the Kickers version as a child in yellow and red...just a random memory :) .

What to Wear : Interview...

So last week I was invited to my first interview by a top law organisation.
I had no idea what to wear, formal or not too formal, heels or flats, blazer or cardigan. Anyways, I ended up wearing something that was way too casual and I just didn't feel like I blended in with all the other applicants, which made me extra nervous.

I literally ran to Oxford Street afterwards to get some more formal clothes from Zara, Urban Outfitters, Office and Top Shop. At least I'll be more prepared next time.

1. Pleated Skirt.
Pleats can be worn without looking tacky or making it look like your a school girl if paired with the right thing , I especially like this mustard coloured skirt from ASOS.

2. Blazer.
Their definitely going nowhere this year. Blazers are a versatile essential to any wardrobe. I prefer this cream fitted blazer jacket from Zara with the black lining compared to the slouchy boyfreind styles.

3.Nude Heels.
I've seen alot of nudes and metalic heels on the catwalk this year. I usually buy black ones because they just go with anything and I find nude shoes quite bland but I did fall for these off brown heels with the wooden platform.
I do Love them !

Golden Globes : Oui Ou Non...

Oui

She carries herself so well. I'm so glad she didn't hide her figure in frills and fluff. I love the one shoulder dress and the trail which makes the dress look elegant yet youthful at the same time.

It's different to the more revealing and figure hugging outfits she usually wears. Her hair is perfect as it doesn't take away the attention from her soft make up. Theirs nothing wrong with looking like a mature grown woman.

Yeah she looks good..no suprise. The emerald colour is perfect and so is the style of the dress on her. She doesn't allow the dress to drown her and seriously owns it.

Non

I love the simplicity of her hair and makeup but why have so many graphics on such a beautifully cut dress ?

This dress does Halle more justice from the side than from the front. It's just not right for the event and belongs more at night..in the bedroom. It literally looks likes she's wrapped a chiffon material on a corset. But who really cares ? she's gorgeous nonetheless.

Ooo where do I start. Well let me just say firstly i'm not her biggest fan. She's just trying waay to hard. The colour of the dress is terrible and it does nothing to emphasise her small frame it just makes me want to eat candy floss...yum. Thumbs down..way down!

The New Years Resolutions...

1. Clearer Skin.
Hopefully this year will be the year of healthy, glowing and clearer skin ! I promise to wash off all my make up every night and drink lots and lots of water :)

2.Healthier Nails and Hair
I promise to stop biting my nails so that maybe one day I too can get minx nails.

3.Save Money ! and Stop Buying Disposable Clothing.

Something to think about - "For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice
And to make an end is to make a beginning
The end is where we start from". T.S Eliot

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things...

1. Sheer Clothing.
It gives an angelic and eerie feel to any outfit. Chiffon is timeless and really makes an outfit look more sophisticated and chic. I absolutely LOVE it.

Navy Cloud Print Wrap Blouse

Peach Grandad Collar Shirt

2.Peg Trousers.
This is the replacement of the harems. They're more fitted and just so happen to look amazing with a chiffon shirt. I'll definitely be investing in the camel coloured ones below from Top Shop...not sure how well it would look on my not so narrow frame though :-s

ASOS Tailored Crepe Pleat Front Peg TrouserSand Chino Trousers

3. Barbour Jackets.
Of course I couldn't afford the real one which is around £100 so I settled for the ASOS version which will be my staple jacket for spring. These jackets are just so...British and look even tastier on guys :)
